The Latin American program

includes: Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive
See below me performing these dances with my partner.
The Cha Cha Cha

Commonly known as the Cha Cha and is a rhythmic dance of the Latin program.

The Samba

It is a bouncy dance that comes from the Brazilian carnivals and is part of the Latin program.

The Rumba

It is a slow but active dance in the Latin program. Many people love it because of the beauty and time to express your feelings into it.

Paso Doble

This dance represents a matador fight. Usually the boy is the matador and the girl is the cape, but roles can vary. This is my favorite dance, and the video is from the Impress Ballroom studio show, the studio I dance in. It is also part of the latin program.

The Jive

It is the fifth dance of the Latin program and is the jumpiest and is one of the most active dances. Many people don’t practice it for major competitions because you don’t even dance it until the last rounds.

The European Ballroom Program

includes: Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep.
See below me performing these dances with my partner.
The Slow Waltz

This is a classic dance in the Ballroom program, and is the slowest. It has a flowing, active movement across the floor and often causes mild air currents. It is a favorite of many dancers, worldwide.

The Tango

It is a passionate dance of the Ballroom program. It has sharp movements, but often still looks and feels like flying across the floor.

The Viennese Waltz

This is a faster version of the Slow Waltz. It is thought to be the most romantic and also feels like flying across the dance floor.

The Slow Foxtrot

It is a slow dance, oftenly associated with a cat or fox crawling. It is a flowing dance with many shapes of the frame. Many love it because of the music and movements.

The Quickstep

This is the last dance of the Ballroom program. It is a really fast dance, and many routines even include running.
